This is the Andor way!
This week’s episode of The Mandalorian borrows heavily from Star Wars spin-off Andor as the world-building and character-driven epic unfolds on Disney+! It’s one of the best episodes yet, filled with Easter eggs spanning the entire saga!
The Convert opens with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), Grogu, Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and R5-D4 (the droid with a bad motivator from Star Wars: A New Hope) pursued by Imperial TIE Interceptors on Kalevala after Djarin had bathed in the waters of a war-torn Mandalore.
Once they’ve seen off their attackers, TIE Bombers devastate Kryze’s castle home before a large squadron of TIE Interceptors arrives. Our Mandalorian heroes make their escape.
Meanwhile on Coruscant (looking spectacular in Dolby Vision). Dr Penn Pershing (Omid Abtahi) and Elia Kane (Katy M. O’Brian) are coming to terms with their Imperial past.
Is Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), Grand Admiral Thrawn or Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) pulling the strings? I can’t wait to find out…
