Tomorrow is Yesterday
I do so adore a timey-wimey thespian Trek tale: from All Good Things to Yesterday’s Enterprise.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow doesn’t disappoint with standout performances from Christina Chong (La'an Noonien-Singh) and Paul Wesley (James T. Kirk). Chong is no stranger to time travel after appearing in Doctor Who.
The odd couple (from alternate timelines) go back in time to 21st century Toronto, Canada. Timely (pun intended) as I watched it on Canada Day, remembering my late maternal grandmother from Calgary (I have family living in Vancouver).
The budget-friendly episode isn’t filler after the amazing Ad Astra Per Aspera. In sixty minutes, the episode accomplishes what Star Trek: Picard’s second season failed (aside from me bailing), a fun and very moving ‘saving the future’ romp with ramifications.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ second season on Paramount+ came in hot after the stellar conclusion to Star Trek: Picard. And, you know something, it’s some of the best Trek I’ve ever seen.
Hit it!
